Doomed to fail? QR codes

I agree with the article that QR codes are not getting the sufficient
penetration needed in order to take off.

I think that one issue is that to get a QE code to work you need to go from
digital to paper to digital. It would be a lot better to go digital to
digital.

So I think things like near field communication may be better in the end.
